Founded in Italy in 1995, Powersoft is a worldwide company, headquartered in Florence (Scandicci) Italy –that designs, manufactures and markets high-end and patented technologies and solutions for the professional audio industry. 

Recognized as a world leader in lightweight, high power, single rack space, energy efficient amplifiers, Powersoft is the first company to have introduce Pulse Width Modulation technology (PWM) in a way that has enabled them to achieve efficiency and power which were unthinkable, in addition to Power Factor Correction (PFC).

Powersoft’s Italian made products are available all over ther World, with widespread partners, distributors and authorised service centres. Its state-of-the-art amplifiers can be found in an array of applications, ranging from stadiums, sporting arenas, theme parks, performance venues and airports to convention centres, churches, cinemas and clubs, and are used by the world’s leading tour sound companies. 


Powersoft products are universally recognized as top quality/performance products in the Pro Audio industry. We can proudly say this is achieved by keeping the products entirely made in Italy. Two different production sites, focused on rack mount amplifiers and amp modules, are located respectively in S. Giovanni in Persiceto (Bologna) and Ronchi dei Legionari (Gorizia) in Italy.


Both sites are characterized by a specular organization and by the following key characteristics:

  • a strict quality control process through the entire production cycle using special testing tools designed and developed by Powersoft to maintain consistency and minimise the time in the testing phase. This strict process includes functional tests at board level and burn-in at product level on 100% of production.

  • state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and equipments to guarantee top level production quality in the electronics industry

  • contribution to a sustainable production with leadfree equipment but also with an extensive use of solar energy. The entire production of Powersoft products is carried out using green energy; this is another great addition to the Green Audio Power value.



Powersoft invests over 10% of its turnover in the research and development of technologies applied to products and solutions dedicated to the pro-audio industry.  This makes it an unconventional company. The company has a different philosophy from mainstream thinking: Product development is not dependent on the sole analysis of the opportunity for better business or revenue, but on the experimentation and curiosity of breakaway technologies which can potentially help to create innovative products which do not cater to the requests but create them.



Almost 20 years ago, Powersoft was the first company to introduce pulse width modulation technology (PWM) in a way that has enabled them to achieve efficiency and power which were unthinkable at that time, in addition to power factor correction (PFC). The company believed in active speakers and it was the first to develop amplifier modules that could be integrated into the speakers. With the IPAL product it patented the differential pressure control (DPC) allowing close integration between amplifier and speaker, while M-Force resulted in a revolutionary approach to creating a transducer for subwoofers.



The importance of ecology-efficient technologies is becoming ever more relevant in today’s world. Integrating these technologies into products has always been part of the underlying philosophy at Powersoft – both to save customer money and as a contribution for preserving the environment.

Saving energy has been an integral part of our DNA since the birth of Powersoft, but the mission to design and manufacture truly energy efficient products now grows exponentially based on global warming and increasing cost of petroleum-based products. “These phenomena,” Powersoft CEO Luca Lastrucci says “have produced a marketing trend that has been particularly well received in the entertainment industry where there is a special consciousness about what is environmentally friendly or green.” 

As a manufacturer of professional power amplifiers, Powersoft is one of the few companies that have always paid close attention to producing products that can minimise energy consumption and - like no other - the “green concept” is core to all Powersoft products. 

Green Audio Power is a Powersoft registered trademark that identifies environmental friendly products. This concept involves two different aspects that, when combined, represent a big step forward in terms of the development of power amplifiers:
